Not as good as expected.

The Husband's Secret - Liane Moriarty

'The husbands secret' was recommended to me by my beloved kindle upon finishing 'sharp objects' by Gillian Flynn. I expected 'The husbands secret' to be of a similar genre, a thriller. Pages and pages of five star reviews popped up so I thought, yup, this'll be a good 'un!

The story is set in Australia. But closing your eyes, you could imagine the events in any town or city around the world. The author uses little descriptive writing with regard to the setting. Some might say this is a good thing! Personally, I love to be whisked away into the plot!

The entire story hinges on the secret of one man, John Paul Fitzpatrick. the fact that he has a secret is revealed early in the story, but what the secret actually is, is saved for later. I can't say it's amazing, in fact, I'd say the majority of readers guessed it when they read the blurb!

Its impossible to review this book without giving little spoilers, so I'll recommend 'The husbands secret' as an entertaining quick read.
